    Dear Sir/Madam,
I am contacting your archive to see if you have preserved copies of the periodicals “Hrvatski komunist” and “Bilten – besposleni radnik”.
“Hrvatski komunist” was published in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by the “Croatian National Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Canada.” The first issue is dated October 1930 and the editor was identified as Paul Phillips.
“Bilten – besposleni radnik” was a monthly publication (mimeographed) that was printed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This periodical was published from 1929 to 1931. The editor was Tomo Caci who was a member of the Communist Party of Canada, and also fought in the Spanish Civil War and the Yugoslav Partisans during World War II.
I am conducting research on the Croatian community in Canada and cannot find copies of these periodicals in any archives here in Canada.
Is it possible for staff to check the holdings of the Russian State Archive for Social and Political History to see if they are in your collection.
Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,

    Stan Granic
